Trial and Deposition Testimony from Washingtonian Publishing Co. v. Drew Pearson et al.  The case went up to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1939 on the question of whether the copyright registration was valid, and this testimony is all from the period afterwards, where the District Court held a trial as to whether infringement had occurred.  The case centered on the book "Washington Merry Go Round" and its sequel "More Merry Go Round" about political happenings in Washington around the Roosevelt administration.  Other defendants included Liveright Publishing.
